Awesome Little PC November 10, 2009 M. West (Germantown, MD, US) 27 out of 28 found this review helpful
I am extremely happy with my HP mini in pink, from Amazon. It arrived several days before the expected delivery date and was securely packaged. I've owned it less than 24hrs, but so far I am pleased with this mini pc. It is perfect for people who do basic functions like surfing the web, checking email, and chatting. I purchased mine mainly to participate in my online classes, while on the go!
Best thing to invest your Christmas money in! December 31, 2009 Justine D. (Philadelphia, NJ USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love this netbook! It's speedy and has all the features a normal laptop and the bonus of being small and portable. The keyboard is great! It's the best price around, as well. Windows 7 runs great on this HP. It is user friendly and very easy to setup. It's great for the High School student. It does not have an Optical drive, but you can load Microsoft Office by loading the trial and extending it over the internet. Or I believe you can convert the Microsoft Office CD Rom into a USB. If not, you can always load Open Office for free from the internet. All in all, I completely recommend this product to anyone from the working mom to the college student.

This netbook comes with Windows 7 Starter, which is probably all anyone would need who is looking in this price point of netbooks. I'm happy with mine. I'd like to say that using Google Chrome helps out with maximizing valuable screen space on screens of this size(F11 helps too.) This is the first HP I've had and though it's not been long I can say I'm a happy customer thus far. It performs how I expected it to. I'll update this in the future if I have any problems.
Awesome machine, but wish I got the 6-cell battery December 18, 2009 Fernando Sanchez, Jr. (Fresno, CA) I just got this same laptop yesterday from Verizon, and I wish I would have thought of the battery life. I have managed to run it with the Verizon Mobile Broadband service for around 2 and a half hours on Linux with the 3 cell battery (I may not have set the optimum power management settings and the mobile broadband modem probably consumes a lot of power).
My next purchase will be a six-cell battery, though, cos I love this netbook. Once you get used to the layout of the keys (all keys were about one key left of where I expected them to be), it is a wonderful and zippy little thing.
It runs Windows very nicely, and runs Ubuntu Netbook Remix beautifully (once you figure out how to install bcmwl-kernel-source from the installation ISO). I had no problem installing Ubuntu using a usb drive and unetbootin. Once I had the wi-fi working, I was able to set up the Verizon Wireless Broadband with gobi_loader.
All in all, this is a wonderful laptop that would be even more incredible with the six-cell battery.
Just to give people an idea, I am a django developer, and this has now become my work computer.
Netbook Mastery March 6, 2010 Dylan (Illinois, USA) This netbook is absolutely brilliant. I love the design and portability of the netbook and would definitely recommend it. I do advise though, upgrading to 2gb of ram to greatly improve performance. This will make it even more enjoyable. Either way this is an awesome notebookHP Mini 110-1115NR 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - Up to 3.75 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter)
