This netbook is a winner.
Lenovo completely reengineered their prior version (S10) into a smaller, better product.
This little beast has it all.
It is compact, thin, and light.
Yet, it can do the business.
I've had mine for two weeks already.
Setting it up was fast and easy for me.
I chose this Lenovo with Windows XP, rather than the Samsung GO with Windows 7 (LIGHT); because Windows XP allows more user specific modifications that that darn Windows 7 (LIGHT).
Heck, you can't even change the desktop screen on Windows 7 (LIGHT).
This little Lenovo S10-2 is slimmer, faster, lighter, but more powerful than its predecessor.
I've taken two trips and the lighter laptop bag was just one improvement over my bigger but heavier ThinkPad or its companion 13" HP.
I bought a 2GB RAM upgrade and installed in in under five minutes.
My Lenovo S10-2 immediately recognized it, and became even faster than it was.
I would make only two minor changes, if it were left up to me.
I would have installed the 2GB RAM direct from the factory.
Most people upgrade it anyway.
I would have built it with a WiFi that recognized b/g/n, rather than teh way it comes.
It only recognizes WiFi b/g.
But, those are minor preferences and not complaints.
And, as usual, Amazon pricing (without the greedy, confiscatory state taxes) is just sweeter icing on this slice of cake!
In the end, I recommend this machine to anyone looking for portability, serviceability, reliability, and enjoyability!
This product delivers all that Lenovo promises and more!

I've had this for 2 days by now, so far I'm very happy with it. It's light weight and small enough for me to carry around everywhere which suits my main purpose of having this as a backup and on network all the time as long as I can get wifi. I chose xp since some applications I normally use do not have Win7 upgrade just yet, plus I was not sure if I'd go through the Vista nightmare again... Boot time has been a lot faster, as least faster than my other old laptops (perhaps because I have a lot more apps installed in them). I also installed Ubuntu/linux which works perfect after some tweaking on Wifi driver.
(ps. regarding to previous user's comment, I don't use bluetooth right now so I can't tell if this one supports it)

I dont have a single complaint regarding this item. It has a sleek look and is very light. The battery goes on forever! Would definitely buy Lenovo again!

from all the specs and comparisons this looks like a great machine. wondered tho if this model, sold my Amazon the S10-2 comes w/ Bluetooth as some of the S10-2 models on the lenovo site come with bluetooth. amazon does not say whether it does. can anyone let me know, or this person that bought this netbook, does it have bluetooth?
if it does, or not, can you add it to your review, thanks so much.
 Owned for 2 months and completely busted from being dropped once July 11, 2010

I have owned a Macbook for over 3 years, it has been dropped several times (I have children) and hasn't broken once. I owned this Levono laptop for two months was accidentally dropped once by a child from possibly 4 feet onto carpet and the screen is completely busted beyond repair. On top of that it has been slower than molasses. Next time I need a new laptop I will be going with a Mac.
